Horror Flick

I have a job! Hallelujah!!

It’s only for four days but I’m super excited because I’m about to add “lighting guy on a horror movie” to my resume. That’s right, I got a gig on a film.

I literally only got the job at 10.30am this morning and leave this afternoon at 3pm for the town of Sirdal which is about five hours west of Oslo.

I was chatting to my friend Kristin who I went to uni with last night on Skype. She lives in Oslo and said she would post my details on a social networking site for people in the film, arts and media industries to see if anything came up that way. When she was on the site, she noticed a message about a short film that was starting today and in need of a person to help with lighting. I called and they said pack your bags. I think they are desperate for another pair of hands because the Polish guy who was supposed to do it had an accident or something last night and only contacted the director at 4am to say he could not longer do the job.

I know very little about the film except it is a low budget short called Hjemover meaning “Going home”. It’s a horror flick which means all our filming will be at night and we are sleeping in a cabin in the woods during the day.

Cant wait. watch this space 🙂 🙂 🙂
