Kochie

Hey guys!

Thanks so much for tuning in this morning to my appearance on Channel Seven’s Sunrise and for following my Twitter feed with all the behind the scene’s action.

It was a super fun four minutes with Kochie, where I yet again referred to my bowel movements. Oh dear. I don’t think I’m ever going to live that down. That and the fact I was followed on the program (read, trumped) by Norman the bicycle-riding dog!

I did a bit of celeb spotting in the hallways, including the Morning Show‘s Larry Emdur, who I was going to ask to “COME ON DOWN!” but he ran off before I had the chance.

I also had a great chat on the couch with the delightful Chris Smith from 2GB radio in Sydney who was also on the show talking about the Opposition’s stunt in parliament yesterday. Funny stuff. I love how the speaker of the house always gets so wound up!

Cats premiership captain Tom Harley’s better half Felicity Percival also sat down next to me for a bit but I didn’t get a chance to chat about our Geelong connections before another woman came and started chatting to her. I am sure I was supposed to know who the other woman was – probably the editor of Vogue or Cosmo or something – but I’m a bit out of the loop with such things these days!

About to go on

Kochie and I had a few minutes for a brief chat before going on air, where we discussed the ins and outs of visiting Israel. Apparently his wife is super keen to go. I told him it was a must. Seriously. If any of you are planning a trip and want to go somewhere interesting – Israel and Palestine is where it’s at. ๐Ÿ™‚

You guys wouldn’t have heard it on-air but we also had a funny moment when the package of photos and video was played featuring my rendition of Dolly Parton’s Jolene. Mel and Nat and the entire floor crew broke into song… Joleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeene! They were quite good. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

I was also sooooo happy this morning to see my friend Adam, one of the reasons for my trip, outside the window at Market Place holding a sign saying ‘well done’. I havenโ€™t seen him since I was in Hong Kong training for the Great Wall marathon more than 12 months. While I was there I witnessed him take his last chemo tablet. He and his family are now back living in Australia.

Me and Kochie after the show

Some of you have been asking where I got the outfit I was wearing on air. Itโ€™s a little Portmanโ€™s number โ€“ “It Girl” Blouse $69, Body Con Knit Tube Skirt in navy $49 (bargain!) and Double Keeper Career Belt in cinnamon – $19.95.ย  Shoes by Tony Bianco $139.00. I went shopping earlier this week with my friend Catherine and the ladies at the Bourke St Mall store in Melbourne were just wonderful. Thanks a bunch ladies! And Catherine for your honest advice.
