The small pleasures in life

A hot shower and a chocolate brownie. Two of life’s greatest pleasures and I had them both courtesy of Chris, one of Tanya’s friends who she used to teach with at the International School in UB. He came here about nine years ago with the Peace Corp (there are about 130 Peace Corp volunteers in Mongolia – I think I have met about 100 of them!) and then stayed on as a teacher. And he has been kind enough to let me crash in his spare room, which has possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. He keeps asking if it was ok to sleep on but I think it’s marvellous relative to what I’ve had in the past fortnight.
