Angry Bird

I really wanted to try and hood the eagle today but he hasn’t been a happy camper since arriving here and has been quite difficult to work with. Mr Aralbai got pecked badly on his finger, the second bite taking a really thick chunk of flesh out of its top. Ouch!

I am getting the hang of commanding the bird. It will now come to me fairly quickly when I dangle some meat at it and I lured it using a fox skin this morning on my first attempt but unfortunately Aigul didn’t manage to capture it on my camera. Not happy. We tried numerous follow up attempts to get footage of it but do you think we could get the eagle off the roof? Nope. Grrgh!
